ATS opens New Cold Spring Granite Terminal

ATS officially began operating out of the new terminal at the Cold Spring Granite West facility in Cold Spring, MN on July 1, 2003. This facility is the result of a cooperative effort between ATS Specialized and Cold Spring Granite Company, in an effort to not only work more closely together to load shipments, but also to strengthen the partnership between the two companies.

The facility is located at the far west side of Cold Spring Granite West, which is across from Rich-Spring Golf Course in Cold Spring, MN. To find the terminal, drivers coming into Cold Spring should turn north onto CTY Road 158, cross the railroad tracks and then take the first left turn. Go through the gate and proceed one-half block straight ahead, and look for the tan office trailer. The office trailer has a drivers room, shower and office area. (1062)

The gate to the facility is open around the clock from 8am Monday through 6pm Friday. It is closed and locked the remaining hours and on holidays. ATS has a combination lock on the gate so drivers can gain access when the gate is locked. The directions and combination are with messages when dispatched on all granite loads into and outbound from Cold Spring.

Because this facility does not offer inside storage capability for tarped loads, all drivers with tarped granite loads, destined to Cold Spring, must contact the office to make arrangements to get replacement tarps at Cold Spring or at ATS West.
