ATS SUPPORTS ROCKVILLE, MN EDA
Anderson Trucking Service recently committed to a donation in the amount of $25,000 in support of the Economic Development Authority (EDA) in Rockville, Minnesota. According to Rollie Anderson, President of Anderson Trucking “As part of our recent search to relocate the Anderson Trucking Service corporate headquarters we spent a fair amount of time working with the Rockville city staff and the Rockville City Council regarding potential building sites in the Rockville area. We were extremely impressed with the amount of enthusiasm and dedication displayed by these people. During those discussions, the Rockville EDA was mentioned.”

Some of the tasks that the EDA has undertaken are an inventory of the existing conditions, business retention and expansion, identification of commercial and industrial land and buildings sites, and the creation of financial packages that could be offered to businesses. The contribution will be used to establish a Minnesota Community Capital Fund, which will help support new business in Rockville.

In a September 9, 2004, letter to the City of Rockville Rollie Anderson stated “As part of our corporate philosophy, we at Anderson Trucking Service feel that it is important to support the local communities in their expansion and development plans. These are some exciting challenges and opportunities.”
