TIME TO GET SERIOUS! Anderson Trucking and its subsidiaries are looking for new photos to be used on our website and in other corporate advertising and collateral materials. The new ATS hat and DOUBLE cash prizes will be awarded as follows... First Place: $100.00, Second Place: $80.00, Third Place: $60.00 ATS is interested in photos featuring the ATS truck and/or load. Creativity is encouraged. All photos submitted will be considered. Photos may include standard truck shots, action photos, pictures involving trucks on the road, at a weigh station, or truck stop etc. Rules This contest is open to all employees and drivers (Company and Leased). Send your color prints with your name and truck number clearly printed on the back, to the address below. Digital photos can be submitted provided they are high resolution. These files should be sent via email. All submitted photos become the property of ATS and will not be returned. ATS reserves the right to use the photos electronically or in printed publication. A representative of the Internet Committee will judge the photos and their decision shall be final. All photos will be considered in the month they are received. The date for submission is the last day of every month for the duration of the contest. ATS reserves the right to discontinue or modify the contest at any time. “He who has a good friend needs no mirror.”

As I sit down to write my first article for the ATS “Herald”, I can’t help but look back at what brought me to this point. Nearly twenty-seven years ago, Lois and I left St. Cloud for the northern suburbs of Chicago, where I attended seminary. During the time since then we have served three churches in the states of Iowa, Wisconsin and Kansas. The time has come for us to return to our home state of Minnesota where most of our family lives and there are more fish to catch. That’s how I remember it anyway.

Far from retiring, I will be serving as “Pastor to Pastors” throughout the state with the Evangelical Free Church of America. You will also see my face more often at the office, since I will be serving as Relationships Consultant for ATS. This means I will be focusing of external and internal relationships for ATS. I will be involved in community relations, employee relations, crisis management and general human relations items such as hospital visits, keeping in touch with retirees, employee care and management training.

I’m looking forward to meeting and working with all of you. If you see me in the hall or at my desk, please stop and say “Hi”. I’m looking forward to renewing old acquaintances and making new friends.
