the direct and indirect environmental impacts, maintaining high-quality indoor air, conserving resources and recycling to minimize waste.” This concept was carried forward in the landscape design by Damon Farber Associates of Minneapolis, MN, to include integrated storm water management, utilization of native plant materials and two ponds to accentuate the area’s abundance of wetlands.

The construction of the new corporate headquarters comes at a milestone in the company’s history. 2005 marks the 50th Anniversary of the incorporation of Anderson Trucking Service, Inc. Rollie Anderson, President and CEO of Anderson Trucking Service, Inc. reflected on the project. “ It seems appropriate that we are beginning construction on this new building as we move into our second fifty years of business. Our connection to St Cloud, the Central Minnesota area, and especially Cold Spring Granite, has been instrumental to our success. To celebrate that connection, granite will be incorporated into key external and internal building surfaces.”

The first phase bids have been awarded. Second phase bid requests will be sent this week. R.A. Morton of Sauk Rapids, Minnesota is the Construction Manager for the project. The anticipated occupancy for this building is March 2006.

ICE HAULS ASPHALT PLANT TO PUERTO RICO
ICE International was contracted to be the inland, ocean, and delivering carrier for an asphalt plant from Wisconsin to Puerto Rico.

The project scope of 20 loads, consisted of container loads, in-gauge loads, over width, and overweight loads. Trailer equipment required flatbeds, single drops, double drop trailers, some of which were expandable, and equipped with 3 axles. With the outstanding support of Anderson Trucking Service, the specialized trailers were stacked and spotted during the final week of fabrication, providing a convenience to the shipper and the ability of loading the equipment once fabrication was completed.

ICE went the extra mile and supplied on site supervision to ensure that once the cranes and rigging crews arrived, loading was all that remained before the loads left for our terminal in Florida.
