ANDERSON TRUCKING JOINS WITH COMMUNITY TO SUPPORT TSUNAMI RELIEF EFFORT
For several years, Anderson Trucking has routinely provided free transportation services to Kids Against Hunger, a local non profit agency dedicated to feeding the poor. Normally, containers of product are brought to a Sauk Rapids warehouse and packaged into nutritious meals that are specifically designed for people who have been suffering from starvation and whose digestive systems are weakened.

ATS has been pleased to support this organization because almost 100 percent of contributed dollars actually work to feed hungry people. The soy, rice and chicken products are purchased in bulk, transported free by ATS, packaged by volunteers and then trucked by ATS to a shipping site. Most of the meals are destined for overseas but 10 percent is given to local agencies to augment the effort in this area.

When the tsunamis hit and the world viewed the devastation and marvelled at the effort needed to keep millions from starving, central Minnesota reacted with characteristic generosity. With donations pouring in and hundreds of volunteers rolling up their sleeves, a million meals were packaged and shipped to the affected areas. Anderson Trucking is proud to have provided the transportation necessary to get this product where it was needed.
