ATS ANNOUNCES WIT AND WISDOM CONTEST
As part of our 50th anniversary celebration, ATS is compiling a book of wit and wisdom from our drivers, contractors and employees. The book will include anecdotes, sayings and stories from winning contest entrants, who have helped to make ATS what it is today.

Anyone having a tale, a legend or an adage about ATS, people they’ve worked with or a specific circumstance they would like to share, should write it down and submit it to the Human Resources Department by July 22. Members of the “ATS Million Mile Club” will have their million mile interview automatically entered in the contest. Any person offering a submission that is used in the book will win $50, in honor of our fifty years of being in business. A committee of judges will choose winners. Submissions can be sent by US mail or by e-mail to joycest@atsinc.com.

Our 50th Anniversary Summer Driver Appreciation Days will be held on Saturday, August 20, at Gary, Indiana and St Cloud, MN. Please mark your calendars and talk to your dispatcher about getting to this event.

A 50th Anniversary Picnic will be held on Saturday, July 16, at Molitor’s Trout Heaven Park in Sauk Rapids, Minnesota.

Watch for an “EXTRA” edition of The Herald in August. This will be a special 50th Anniversary edition.

ATS SUPPORTS AMERICAN CANCER SOCIETY RELAY FOR LIFE
Employees at the ATS office in St Cloud, Minnesota, held a “Casual for a Cause” day on Thursday, May 26. The fundraiser was held to support the Relay for Life Walk that was held in St Cloud on Friday, June 10. For a donation of $3, employees were allowed to dress casual on a day that would normally require business attire. ATS matches the amount donated by employees, up to $350.

Relay for Life events are held on an annual basis, throughout the country, by the American Cancer Society. It is a fun-filled overnight event, designed to celebrate survivorship and raise money for cancer research. This year, ATS and employees contributed $850 to the American Cancer Society for this event.

ATS holds “Casual for a Cause” events throughout the year. Local, national and international charities are supported through these events.
