In this issue we are paying tribute to those who have served our nation in uniform. So much of what makes our country great has come as a result of the hard work and sacrifices made by these men and women. I think it fitting that we also thank the people whose efforts go into making Anderson Trucking Service the successful organization that it is.

We work in an industry that is extremely vital to our country. When interviewing candidates or addressing groups of people who are not part of the industry, I often challenge them to look around the room and find something that did NOT get delivered by a truck. Our people do an important job and they do it well - every day. Thank you to our sales force that goes out to the customer’s locale and secures the business. Thank you to the Operations people ,Fleet Managers and Customer Service Reps, who balance a driver’s needs with the customer’s demands to come up with the best possible plans. Thank you to the people who sort through the paperwork and ensure that the customer gets billed properly and that the driver gets paid correctly.

To the maintenance staff who makes sure that our equipment is in good order as it rolls down the highway with our name on it- Thank you. The same to the dedicated individuals in our Safety department that make sure we all do our job in compliance with the rules and regulations that govern our industry. To the Risk Management staff that handles claims, accidents and mishaps that are part of life- thank you. For the Human Resource group that administers employee benefits and the facility staff who make sure the lights work, the toilets flush and the trash gets emptied - Thank you. Kudos to our great Information Services department that keeps us current with all the new technology that is being integrated into the business. To our Finance folks who see that costs are allocated, income posted, taxes paid and all the beans counted- thank you. We also thank the recruiters who talk to driver and contractor candidates and process all the paperwork to get them on board.

Most of all, thank you to the drivers and Owner Operators who are the backbone of Anderson Trucking Service. You men and women perform an awesome task that is so important to every aspect of our nation’s (world’s) economy. Our customers are being served by the finest driving force to be found and we all say THANK YOU.

WOW! 40 Years
June 16th marked a milestone for Peggy Turch as she celebrated her 40th anniversary at Anderson Trucking Service. Peggy began her career as Accounts Payable Clerk and assisted in receivables as well. Along the way she has been the Receptionist and provided support to various positions including , the President, Traffic Manager, Operations Manager, Sales Manager, VP of Marketing and Director of Commerce. Peggy currently works with ATS Inc in the sales department as the Pricing Manager.

ATS Remembers Harold Anderson
Bill Borger often thinks of Harold Anderson and misses seeing him around the office. He wants to make sure that others remember Harold and think of him often.

Because of his deep respect for Harold, Bill approached the Safety Department shortly after Harold’s death, asking for some type of remembrance decal for trucks. “Harold was a great man and I want to make everyone remembers what he did for ATS” were Bill’s words.

Decals were ordered and have now arrived for distribution. Anyone interested in having a decal for their truck should contact the shop at St. Cloud or Gary, Indiana. The 4” x 1” decals reads: “In Memory of Harold Anderson 1916 - 2001”
