Anderson Trucking and its subsidiaries are looking for new photos to be used on our website and in other corporate advertising and collateral materials. The new ATS hat and cash prizes will be awarded as follows...

First Place: $50.00, Second Place: $40.00, Third Place: $30.00, Fourth Place: $20.00

ATS is interested in photos featuring the ATS truck and/or load. Creativity is encouraged. All photos submitted will be considered. Photos may include standard truck shots, action photos, pictures involving trucks on the road, at a weigh station, or truck stop etc.

Rules
This contest is open to all employees and drivers (Company and Leased). Send your color prints with your name and truck number clearly printed on the back, to the address below.

Digital photos can be submitted provided they are high resolution. These files should be sent via email. All submitted photos become the property of ATS and will not be returned. ATS reserves the right to use the photos electronically or in printed publication. A representative of the Internet Committee will judge the photos and their decision shall be final. All photos will be considered in the month they are received.

The date for submission is the last day of every month for the duration of the contest. ATS reserves the right to discontinue or modify the contest at any time.

ATS Announces Scholarship Winners
The 4th annual Anderson Trucking Service, Inc. scholarship winners for children of employees have been announced. The 2002 scholarship winners are:

Samuel E. Larson, St. Cloud, MN. Sam is the son of Don Larson, Billing Clerk, ATS Specialized, Inc.. Sam plans to attend Rochester Institute of Technology, Rochester, NY, concentrating his studies in Information Technology. While his specific goals are currently undecided, Sam’s main interest in Information Technology is the construction, maintenance and repair of computers. Sam also has an interest in Digital Arts and Imaging, involving creation and editing of advertisements for business clients.

Taylor Marie Appelt, Victoria, TX. Taylor is the daughter of Everett Appelt, Jr., OTR Driver for ATS Specialized, Inc.. Taylor plans to attend The University of Texas, San Antonio, TX, concentrating her studies in Biology. After receiving her bachelor’s degree, Taylor hopes to complete her medical studies at The University of Texas Medical Branch, Galveston, TX to pursue her goal in the medical field as a physician.

Each of the ATS scholarship winners will be awarded a $500 scholarship for post high school education. Candidates submitted an application and essay outlining their career plans and academic path. Applications were considered based on high school grade point average, essay content, work experience and high school/community activities and awards.

ATS Welcomes New Safety Director
Jeff Stewart has joined ATS as our new Director of Safety. Jeff is originally from Enid, Oklahoma. He was Safety Director at The Waggoners Trucking for the last two and one half years. His experience also includes other safety related positions as well as six years of driving experience. He has a Masters Degree in Safety Education and a Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational and Environmental Safety.
