RECOGNIZE THE INDICATORS FOR STRESS
Stress is impossible to avoid, but is very possible to control. Recognizing the symptoms of stress, understanding how it affects your health and performance and learning to manage it can help you conquer stress in your life.

The classic stress symptoms include a rapid heartbeat, sweaty palms or a hot face, but there are also subtle signs of stress that people often ignore. Some common stress indicators include chronic fatigue for no apparent reason, anxiety, irritability, difficult to concentrate or remember, sleep problems, weight gain or loss and stomachache or indigestion.

Some stress is necessary in our lives. It may prompt us to have regular checkups, be on time or be our best in games or sports. This short-term stress springs us into action or prompts that “fight or flight” response.

Chronic stress, however, is not good. The daily grind of fear, frustration and worry that comes from feeling out of control. Chronic stress serves no useful purpose, an if not addressed, can have adverse effects on our health.

To manage the stress in your life, it’s important to understand what causes your stress and work to change or avoid those situations. Some creative ways to manage stress include:
Set realistic deadlines and start well ahead of schedule
Exercise, which relieves muscle tension and triggers the release of endorphins, which are
    hormones that boost your mood
Read or a watch a movie that absorbs you and gives you a break from your worries
Talk to friends and family about relationships, pressures and worries
Laugh, which can ease tension and enhance your overall wellness
Learn to compromise and be flexible
Forgive and forget – don’t stew over something or harbor anger
    Learn to relax and recharge
