ATS SWITCHES DRIVERS TO 6 DIGIT ID NUMBER
Identity theft is a concern for everyone these days. We have all seen the commercials and read about the misfortune of having your identity “stolen”. Here at ATS, many drivers have voiced their concern regarding using their social security number on logs as an identification number.

In response to these concerns, ATS has issued a unique six digit identification number for each driver. Each driver’s number was sent to that driver on, Wednesday, June 30, via qualcomm. Drivers began using this number on their logs from July 1, 2004, forward. All log records were be changed to recognize only this ID number. The program will no longer recognize a social security number, so please discontinue the use of your social security number on July 1.

Although there are no guarantees, we hope this relieves any concerns drivers may have in this area. If you have any questions, please contact your fleet manager or the safety department.

ATS GOES DASHLESS
Anderson Trucking Service Inc. has been able to acquire the URL www.atsinc.com from another company and it is now up and fully operational.

There should be very little confusion about the other company. They have been phasing it out of their use for over a year and they are in an unrelated business. The new URL will bring the user to our website and you will also be able to receive E-mails to this address (i.e. larrywe@atsinc.com)

Hopefully this will bring to an end the " What is the Dash" confusion that has sometimes been generated by our old URL www.ats-inc.com.

We will begin transitioning all of our marketing and advertising to include the new URL www.atsinc.com. Our old URL will continue to work as it has in the past and their are no plans to remove it from use. Begin making this transition in your emails and communications as you feel it is necessary. If you have any questions, please call Larry Weston, at Ext. 7422.

ATS SCHOLARSHIP WINNERS
Each Spring, ATS awards three scholarships for post-secondary education to the children of ATS employees, drivers or contractors. Scholarship recipients are chosen based on academic achievements, extra-curricular activities, work experience and an essay about the role of further education in achieving career goals. We are pleased to announce this year’s scholarship winners.

Our first place recipient, receiving a $1000 scholarship is Nathan Stunek, son of Kurt and Roxanne Stunek. Kurt works in the Claims Department. Nathan will be attending the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis, majoring in Sports Medicine or Psychology.

The second place winner, receiving a $750 scholarship is Richard Turch, son of Peggy and Dick Turch. Peggy works in the Pricing Department of the ATS, Inc. Richard plans to attend Bemidji State University and major in Business Management and Wildlife Conservation.

Our third place scholarship in the amount of $500 was received by Bethany Larson, daughter of Brendan and Deb Larson. Brendan works in the Finance Department. Bethany will attend St Cloud State University and plans to become a Pediatric Speech Therapist.
