Memorable Experience: While driving for Seattle Transfer many years ago, a girl ran a stop sign and was broadsided by another car. Her auto spun around and ended up under my trailer. An artery in her neck was cut and I gave her first aide for over 20 minutes until the ambulance arrived. It turned out she worked in the office of the FBI in Seattle, and they gave me a commendation for saving her life.
Who has influenced your life: Both my father and mother were strong influences. Any accomplishments or good I have done, is because of the things I learned from them.

Who has influenced your life: My mother and father that set such good examples for my 2 brothers, sister and me. Most of all Bill Darrell, Janet and Cheryl that have been the greatest blessing in my life. They influenced me and taught me so much.
What the best advice you received: I can remember my Dad saying to me "Jody, you can do anything you set your mind too". If you want something go out and work for it. If someone hires you for a $1.00 an hour - give them $1.50 worth of work.

How long have you been driving: I have spent my whole time driving for ATS. I am working on my 17th year here at ATS, they have been fair with me over the years.
Favorite meal on the road: something that will satisfy me an not add alot of weight to my body. I do eat alot of green foods. It is hard to find meals that don’t have pork in them, I don’t eat pork. It seems that I eat alot of the same foods.
Memorable Experience: Just keep your mind clear and be alert, the next mile may be when you need to react to save your life or someone else's. Accidents aren’t fun!
Who has influenced your life: I thunk my father was the shinning light in my life. He was a single parent after the death of my Mother. I was 7 when this happened, he worked hard to keep it all together.
What the best advice you received: Put your life in God’s hands. You don’t know, today may be your last.
What advice will you pass on: Don’t let the stress of the road get under your skin. It leads to road rage. That doesn’t help you get down the road. Keep your head clear to react to what’s coming up next.

Memorable Experience: There have been many: Going to Alaska and running after a Lynx with my camera. Taking a 7 hour ferry to deliver to St. John Newfoundland. Walking through the Carlsbad Caverns and seeing the bats.

What the best advice you received: Before you get into a tight spot, get out of the truck and walk it! It’s allot easier to walk back to the truck than it is to try and back out of a bad situation.
