In honor of the season and our commitment to the communities that support the ATS family of companies, Anderson Trucking Service has continued to participate in Share the Spirit in conjunction with the St. Cloud Catholic Charities office for more than 10 years.
But in 2017, ATS employees approached the event from a different perspective. “Instead of adopting one family in 2017, we chose to adopt eight youth who are wards of the state of Minnesota. Their parents gave up rights for a variety of reasons, and our employees showed overwhelming generosity to show these kids the true spirit of Christmas,” said Shannon Templin, ATS Human Resource Generalist.
Departments purchased everything from gift certificates for food, to shoes, jackets, and even a sewing machine to help make the holiday season a little brighter for these local kids. Not to be outdone, our St. Louis Park MN logistics office adopted a family of their own with Adopt a Family Angels – Minnesota.
Giving back isn’t seasonal at ATS, it’s a value we promote all year long.
“We are firm believers in the importance of supporting the communities our family of companies call home,” said Scott Anderson, ATS Executive Vice President. “ATS has an unbelievable group of employees who are dedicated to making a difference in the world. Whether they are supporting the local community through events like Share the Spirit, or donating to hurricane relief, they go above and beyond all year long, and we couldn’t be more proud of them.”
The season of giving extends far beyond the month of December at ATS. From employees at the ATS headquarters raising nearly $20,000 to support charities & hurricane relief efforts through our Casual Day for Charity events, to our affiliate companies like Midwest Specialized Transportation’s involvement with Mission 22 & Wreaths Across America, there isn’t a day that goes by without someone finding away to make a positive impact on the world around ATS.
As Christmas approaches and the season of giving draws to a close, we want to take a moment to thank our customers, contractors, drivers, employees, affiliates, and families for the support they have provided in 2017, giving us the ability to make a difference far beyond Central Minnesota.
